CE Theology, Philosophy and Religion CPD Conference: Teaching TPR Philosophy

A CPD day for all prep teachers of Theology, Philosophy and Religion will be held on Thursday 14 February 2019 in The Jafar Hall, Eton College, Berkshire SL4 6DW.

The aim of this conference is to reflect on the philosophy component of the new TPR course. In the first part of the day, there will be two lectures, one on each part of the philosophy course. The first will be an in-depth study of the life and thought of David Hume; the second will focus on different notions of liberty and their implications for rights and freedoms. The second part of the day will have a more practical focus, with delegates working through various classroom activities across a range of topics from the TPR philosophy syllabus.

The conference will also provide an opportunity to meet with fellow TPR teachers from across the country. The meeting will take place in one of Eton’s newest buildings, The Jafar Hall, designed as a classical theatre.
