Common Entrance Theology, Philosophy and Religion CPD Conference

A CPD day for all teachers of Theology, Philosophy and Religion will be held on Tuesday 6 March 2018 in The Jafar Hall, Eton College, Berkshire SL4 6DW.

The aim of this conference is to understand the structure of the new ISEB Theology, Philosophy and Religion syllabus and consider ways of delivering it. Presentations on the different elements of the new syllabus will be given by members of the setting team and will include sessions on teaching theology, philosophy, the new assessment criteria and a choice of religion seminars given by leading members of the Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist faith communities, as well as a seminar on the practicalities of organising a visit to a place of worship.

The conference will also provide an opportunity to meet with fellow TPR teachers from across the country. The meeting will take place in one of Eton's newest buildings, The Jafar Hall, designed as a classical theatre.

The cost of the day will be £90 per person, to include lunch; your school will be invoiced prior to the meeting.

Please book your place by visiting our registration website, using the same login details as those used when registering Common Entrance candidates. At this point, you will be asked to select your two preferred afternoon sessions, from a choice of four, as detailed in the programme. In the event of oversubscription, these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The closing date for registrations is Friday 16 February.

Please note there is very little parking in the College. There is some parking on Eton High Street and in the car park at the end of the High Street. Click here to view a map of the College campus.

There is a frequent train service from London-Paddington to Slough (from there ask the taxi driver to take you to the 'Burning Bush, Eton College') and from London-Waterloo to Eton Riverside (from there walk across Windsor bridge to the College which takes about 12 minutes).
