Geography Syllabus Consultation & CPD Days

CPD days for all teachers of Geography will be held on Friday 12 October 2018 at The Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AR, and again on Friday 2 November 2018 at The Collingwood Centre, Rugby School, Barby Road, Rugby, CV22 5DZ.

The main aim of each meeting is to discuss the nature and extent of future changes to the Geography syllabus. A presentation on proposed updates to the syllabus for first examination in Autumn 2022 will be followed by an opportunity to discuss the proposals. This will be followed by presentations on both the Common Entrance and Scholarship Geography examinations, given by members of the setting team.

The October meeting will also include the opportunity for delegates to enjoy a guided tour of The Royal Geographical Society.

The meetings will also provide an opportunity to meet with fellow Geography teachers from across the country, and to explore the range of ISEB-endorsed teaching materials produced by publishers such as Galore Park, Hodder Education and Oaka Books.
