CANDIDATE REGISTRATION FOR CASE EXAMS

COMMON ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATIONS REGISTRATION

REGISTER PUPILS FOR CASE EXAMS

Welcome to the CASE Registration Area.

Here you can register candidates for upcoming Common Academic Scholarship examination sessions. The next exam session is the Spring 2025, which runs from 24 to 26 February 2025.

Registration for the Spring 2025 CASE 13+ session will open on 5 November 2024.

The Spring 2025 CASE 13+ Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet will be published soon, and you will need to submit it with details of your candidates to finalise the registration.

Please note that all completely new registrations submitted after 28 January 2025 will incur an added £50 late fee.

Making changes to CASE Spring 2025 registrations

You can make changes to registrations submitted by re-uploading your CASE 13+ Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet before 28 January 2025. Please note: Changes made after this date must now be submitted via the CE Support Portal.

To make changes, please submit your full upload template spreadsheet with any changes applied to the relevant candidates. The new spreadsheet will replace the old one, and if you leave any candidates or information out of the spreadsheet, those details will be removed from the registration.

Registration will close on 28 January 2025. Removing candidates from our examination despatch list after registration closure is not, unfortunately, possible as the despatch details would have been forwarded to our printing partner, and fees would be charged in full. If changes result in the despatch of additional papers to schools, a charge will be made for packing and despatch.

Change fees will not be charged until after 28 January 2025.

  • How does candidate registration for CASE work?

The new registration process is very similar to the previous process.

To register candidates for CASE, schools need an active, verified ISEB School Account that allows users registered on the account to log in to the new ISEB website.

If you are unsure whether your school has an active ISEB School Account, you can submit a ticket on our Support Portal. Please choose the option: ‘Request to check if my school has an ISEB School Account’.

The way candidate information is submitted has changed. You will no longer be required to enter candidates into a form one by one. Instead, you will add all of your candidates to a Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet provided by us, and upload once, whenever you are ready.

Once you have completed the upload template, simply submit it as a .CSV file through the relevant online registration form to register your candidates.

A record of your registration will appear in your ISEB School Account dashboard.

Please note: candidates will be allocated a unique Candidate ID. This ID needs to be quoted when making any changes to a candidate’s registration.

  • Why has candidate registration for CASE changed?

The new registration system enables schools to only have one account, the ISEB School Account, to order past CE and CASE papers from the online shop and to register candidates for CE, CASE, and the iPQ. In time, we’ll be adding lots more functionality and resources to the Schools Hub too.

  • What do schools need to be able to complete candidate registration for CASE?

You need the same information that you needed to register candidates previously. This includes information about your school and yourself, and information about the candidates you are registering.

    About you and your school:

    • Your name
    • Your job title
    • Your school’s name
    • Your email address
    • Your phone number
    • Your purchase order number/reference
    • The exam session you are registering candidates into.

    About each candidate:

    • First name
    • Last name
    • Full name to be printed on the certificate
    • Date of birth
    • Subject options

Note: the way candidate information is submitted has changed. You are no longer required to enter candidates into a form one by one. Instead, you will add all of your candidates to a Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet provided by us, and upload once, whenever you are ready.

You will also no longer be required to use the letter codes for CASE subjects.

  • Where can schools access the candidate registration spreadsheet templates?

To register candidates for CASE, schools will need to first populate a Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet. The template for each spreadsheet will be provided by ISEB in .Excel format.

Instead of entering candidates in to an online form one by one, schools can now simply populate the relevant upload spreadsheet with the information for each candidate. This can be done in your own time, allowing you to build it up over time and review the information within it. You can submit your spreadsheet whenever you are ready, as long as it is before the relevant deadline.

Please note that the spreadsheet must be saved as a .CSV file for uploading through the online registration forms.

  • How do schools complete the candidate registration templates?

Each candidate is entered into the Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheets on a separate line.

Read our support article on how to populate the new Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheets, and prepare them for upload via the new online registration forms.

Please enter the candidate’s first name and last name, as well as their preferred full name for their ISEB CE certificate. Please enter this in sentence case i.e. James Smith, and please check spelling and punctuation carefully as the names on the certificates will appear as entered into the spreadsheet.

We advise that you do not upload your Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheet until you have full information for all candidates.

Finally, please select the subjects each candidate will take using the drop-down options provided. You no longer need to use the old subject codes.

  • How can schools access support from ISEB?

Support and guidance is available on our new CE and CASE Support Portal. Here you will find a range of helpful articles and FAQs, and you can also submit an enquiry via the online ticket submission form.

Access the CE and CASE Support Portal

  • Why do schools need to log into a School Account to complete candidate registration?

The new candidate registration system has been designed so that schools can use the same account for registering candidates for CE exams and ordering past CE papers.

It means that all CE administration is done in one place, and records of registrations and orders can be seen in the same account dashboard.

ISEB School Accounts put schools in control – they have been designed to allow schools to add and edit users directly. Each account has one or more Admins, who can add users and set user roles and permissions. Each user on the account has their own login, using their own email address and password for added security.

  • How can schools access a record of the candidate registrations that has been submitted?

Once a school has submitted a candidate registration, a copy of the .CSV file submitted, as well as a PDF summary of the information submitted, will become available in the school’s ISEB School Account dashboard. These can be downloaded from the dashboard.
