As we move towards the end of the academic year, with the close of the ISEB Pre-Tests session imminent, summer Common Entrance exams now in full swing, and schools getting ready to submit their ISEB Project Qualifications for moderation over the coming weeks, we wanted to give a short update.
We are pleased to announce that we will be launching a Creative Writing Assessment for 11+ Admissions next year, designed for schools with a creative writing element incorporated into their admissions processes.
The ISEB Project Qualification (iPQ) will see more projects moderated than ever before this year, with many new schools joining us in recognising the value of the transversal skills the iPQ develops. If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch.
ISEB will soon be launching a consultation with schools about the development of Common Entrance and prep school assessment. This will be emailed to schools in early June so please look out for this as we want to hear your perspective.
Another year of ISEB’s Time to Write competition has just concluded, delivered in partnership with IAPS, and the custom winner’s books, illustrated by talented third-year Arts University Bournemouth students, will be unveiled in June.
And, a brand-new set of books is currently in development with Oxford University Press, designed to support schools and families with preparation for the ISEB Pre-Tests. The books will be available for purchase in the next academic year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to announce that Julia Martin left her role of Chief Executive on 20th April 2026. We would like to thank Julia for her contribution to ISEB during her time with us and wish her all the best for the future.
Business continues as usual and we are not only looking forward to the next phase of leadership at ISEB, which includes Richard Harman assuming his role as Chair of the Board on 1st September 2026, but to an exciting year ahead.
