Changes to candidate registration processes for CE, CASE and iPQ

As of 9 March 2023 the new registration process is LIVE, including the Candidate Registration Upload Template spreadsheets and registration forms.

ISEB has today announced a new candidate registration process for schools that use Common Entrance (CE), Common Academic Scholarship (CASE) and ISEB Project Qualification (iPQ) assessments. The new system will be accessible to schools from within the Schools Hub shortly.

Schools will no longer register candidates through the ISEB Registration Website (reg.iseb.co.uk) but through their ISEB School Account. Additional information will be made available to schools through the Examination & Registration section of the website from the same date.

Under the changes, schools will benefit from one central ISEB School Account, easily located in the Schools Hub on the website, through which they can manage admin rights for colleagues, order CE and CASE past papers and resources, and register candidates for CE, CASE and iPQ qualifications. Many schools already use these accounts to place orders for past papers, however, if any schools need clarification on their account details or would like support to set these up, please submit a ticket through the new CE Support Hub.

Speaking on the changes, CEO Julia Martin said, “We have listened to the feedback and developed a platform and corresponding processes that will digitise and improve the experience our customers have when working with our qualifications. We know that one thing schools enjoy is a reduction in admin, and I’d like to reassure our school partners this is the first step in an ambitious strategy of development – we know you will like what is coming.”

The changes to the processes for candidate registration have been introduced for use for Summer 2023 registrations, however, if schools have already begun to submit candidates or completed their registration through the former ISEB Registration Website, ISEB will work with them to migrate registration information from the previous system to the new ISEB School Account.

The changes do not impact the upcoming Spring CASE exam session, which has now closed, or registration processes for the Common Pre-Tests (CPT), which remain the same with parents and guardians continuing to register their children for CPT via the new Guardian Portal.
