Following its success in 2024, our Time to Write creative writing competition is back for the 2025 edition! This exciting contest, open to pupils aged 7-16 across the UK, offers young writers the opportunity to share their creativity and see their stories brought to life through illustrated books. Entries open on 5 December 2024 and close on 2 February 2025. This year’s theme is: Light.
Categories: The competition includes four age-based categories, tailored to pupils in Years 3 to 11, with word limits ranging from 500 to 1000 words. Prizes: Winning entries will be transformed into illustrated books. Additional prizes will be awarded to runners-up and participating schools, celebrating the hard work of everyone involved.
